E31B - Spouse Visa

The E31B Spouse Visa is designed for foreign nationals who wish to join their husband or wife living in Indonesia under a valid Limited Stay Visa, Limited Stay Permit (ITAS), or Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP). This visa allows spouses to stay together in Indonesia while supporting family unity and long-term living arrangements.

This visa is suitable for spouses of holders of various Indonesian stay permits, including employment, investment, research, student, retirement, remote worker, diaspora, second home, and golden visa categories.

With the E31B Visa, holders can stay in Indonesia for up to 1 year or up to 2 years and enjoy multiple-entry access, allowing them to travel in and out of Indonesia freely during the validity period.

The E31B Visa offers a practical solution for families who wish to live together in Indonesia while complying with Indonesian immigration regulations and maintaining legal stay status throughout their residency period.

You Shouldn't Use These Visa For

  • Applied to joint visa or stay permit holders for family dependants.

You must

  • Be financially sufficient during your stay in Indonesia.

  • Comply with all visa conditions and Indonesia laws.

Visa Validity

  • This visa must be used within 90 days from the date of issue.

  • Please note that the visa validity period is different from the period of stay, kindly check your visa for the period of stay Information.

Other information

  • If you meet the conditions, you will automatically obtain the Electronic Limited Stay Permit (e-ITAS) and the Re-Entry Permit upon arrival at the Immigration Checkpoint (you do not need to go to the immigration office to obtain a Limited Stay Permit and Re-Entry Permit).

  • Staying in Indonesia over the period of your stay permit, engaging in prohibited activities, not complying with visa conditions, and/or not complying with Indonesian laws may result in you paying fines, being deported, and/or other legal charges.

  • In addition to the electronic limited stay permit, the limited stay permit also has a physical card available at the immigration office.
